OFF-SEASON:

Focus on individual skills and development – this should all be accomplished without coach involvement. Competitions are made in the off-season. The more you do here, the more likely you are to make the comp team and the more likely we are to win Shorelines.

  1. Mindset
  2. Strength and conditioning
  3. Tumbling
  4. Scorpion, arabesque, scale
  5. Fundraising
  6. Learn all sidelines and know by the first practice
  7. Learn all rules and competition expectations
  8. Community service
  9. Go to camps/schedule individual lessons at ECE/go to college clinics

Off-Season Opportunities:

  1. ECE Camp-July 10-13 from 9am-3pm
  2. UCA Camp
  3. Private tumbling lessons at ECE-You can create an account and book a private lesson at ECE (We love Meghan for tumbling)
  4. Private stunt classes at ECE – You can create an account and book a private lesson with any ECE coach for just your stunt group.

PRE-SEASON OR FOOTBALL SEASON:

Focus on team skill preparation for game day and comps.

  1. Continue strength training
  2. Stunting
    1. Stunt progressions
    2. Twist down – required for max points at comps
    3. Extended libs with skills such as scorpion, arabesque and scale
  3. Tumbling as a group – we need to be in sync for max points
  4. Game Day Routines
    1. Fight Song
    2. Band Dance
    3. One Additional Dance Picked by Team
    4. Portion of a previous comp routine
    5. Portion of the current comp routine
  5. Game Day Cheers
    1. 10 cheers
  6. Community service

IN SEASON OR BASKETBALL OR COMP SEASON

By in-season, we should be prepared for game day so we can focus on comps. We have already learned all the skills we need to be competitive at Shorelines.

  3. Give great game-day performances
  4. Community service is helping with middle school cheer
